Objective
- Discuss quality assurance (QA) of assessment programmes
- Discuss strategies for assessment quality based on QA evidence
Synopsis
Assessment is an integral component of a curriculum. It is the process of making a judgment on whether the learning outcomes are achieved through a systematic collection, review and use of information. This advanced workshop in assessment focuses on the quality assurance of assessment (items, methods, progression rates etc), highlighting the areas that are critical to accreditation agencies, funders and employers. Participants will work in groups to analyse the assessments in their respective disciplines and discuss improvements that could be made.
