“Primum non nocere” is the heart of medical and healthcare professionals, who are dealing with lives of the people. Systematic reviews present a summary of all available evidence to answer a research question, along with the assessment of bias in the results. The evidence from systematic reviews is considered as the most reliable evidence and is often used to inform healthcare-related decision making.
This one-day workshop will include the brief introduction of systematic review of interventional studies including study selection on PICO format, data extraction, assessing methodological quality of the studies, data synthesis and data interpretation.
Objectives
By the end of this workshop, the participants should be able to:
- Appraise the principles and objectives of systematic review of interventional studies.
- Extract relevant data from the articles selected and perform the statistical analysis by using relevant software.
