Smile Makeover: Principles and Techniques in Aesthetic Dentistry (1 Credit Hour)

Learners will learn to evaluate and manage cases such as worn-down dentition, diastema closure techniques, direct and indirect veneering techniques, management of discoloured teeth and masking techniques. There will be an in-course assessments where the learners will self-evaluate their knowledge.

Learners have the flexibility of attending the course from any location in the world at any time and receive 1 credit at the end of the course.

Dr Abhishek Parolia

  • Dr Abhishek Parolia
    Dr Abhishek Parolia graduated from Manipal University and awarded a gold medal in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. He has been very active in practicing Endodontics and training young dentists for more than 15 years and has a vast experience of micro endodontics and retreatment cases. He has multiple awards for his significant contributions in Endodontics, as well as leading the ICDAS initiative. He actively conducts workshops and lectures locally and internationally.

Dr Omer Sheriff Sultan

  • Dr Omer Sheriff Sultan
    Dr Sultan Omer Sheriff is a teaching faculty in the Division of Restorative Dentistry and Lead, of Technology-enhanced learning (TEL) in the School of Dentistry, International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is currently pursuing his part-time PhD and has over 15 years of teaching experience for dental graduates. He is a researcher who has numerous publications in various peer-reviewed journals, authored textbook chapters, and research grants to his name. He is a member of various national and international dental associations. He has special interests in augmented reality applications and his area of research interests is in nano-formulations for root canal disinfection and rotary endodontics.

Dr Preena Sidhu

  • Dr Preena Sidhu
    Dr Preena Sidhu has received her master’s in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India. She is a teaching faculty in Division of Clinical Dentistry at International Medical University, Malaysia.. She is a Cochrane author with numerous publications in peer reviewed journals and has authored textbook chapters. She is a keen researcher and has actively contributed in numerous research projects and has been a part of national and international grants. Her areas of interest are regenerative endodontics, remineralization of tooth structure and 3D bioprinting of oral tissues.

Dr Kirti Saxena

  • Dr Kirti Saxena
    Dr Saxena has a Master’s degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics and experience in examining, diagnosing, and treating dental and mouth problems; designing and making appliances that realign teeth and jaws to produce and maintain normal function and improve appearance. She is specialised and certified in some of the most premium Invisible Orthodontic techniques like Aligners to cater to all kinds of patients keeping in mind their social,
    professional backgrounds and maintaining aesthetics throughout the treatment procedures. She has more than 10 years of clinical teaching experience in orthodontics and dentofacial analysis.

Dr Kiran Rehman

  • Dr Kiran Rehman
    Dr Kiran Rehman has more than 10 years of experience working as a clinician and has been working as an academic clinician in Malaysia since 2015. She has specialized in Operative Dentistry & Endodontics and is presently a faculty member at the School of Dentistry in International Medical University. She received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Pakistan in 2007 and did her 4-year Fellowship training from The Aga Khan University Hospital in Pakistan. Her academic, clinical and research interests are Endodontics, Restorative Dentistry and Esthetic Dentistry.

Najiya Ilyas

  • Dr Najiya Ilyas
    Dr Najiya Ilyas is an Orofacial pain, TMD specialist, and cosmetic dentist with more than 13 years of clinical experience. She graduated in 2005 from Baqai Medical University, Karachi, Pakistan and attained her Fellowship in TMD, Orofacial pain and sleep apnea from Roseman University, USA in 2021. She was awarded with another fellowship in orthodontics by the Malaysian Orthodontic Practicioner Association, Malaysia in 2022. She has numerous clinical certifications in cosmetic dentistry, advance orthodontics, endodontics, periodontal plastic surgeries and implantology. Her major fields of interest are functional occlusion, TMDs, full mouth rehabilitation, restorative dentistry and fixed prosthodontics. Having been trained in multiple specialties, Dr Ilyas mostly manages multidisciplinary restorative cases. She has been running her private clinical practice in Karachi for the past 9 years.
