Principles and Advanced Application of Flow Cytometry

This workshop focuses on basic principles and advanced application of flow cytometry for research and clinical diagnosis.
It gives an understanding on how to use multiple dyes simultaneously for the detection, characterisation and sorting of various immune cells. This is followed by practical demonstration and hands-on experimental setup, data acquisition, data analysis and troubleshooting.
Objectives
- Understand the basic principles of flow cytometry, multi-colour staining and cell sorting
- Know experiment design and setup, data acquisition and analysis
- Understand and determine the critical factors for successful immune cell recognition, detection and sorting in research and clinical diagnosis
