The programme includes a blend of lectures, interactive discussion, and assessments which are invaluable for postgraduate trainees/medical officers who have been spending a significant amount of time on the labour ward, and specialists with a major interest in risk management and clinical governance and audits.
This virtual webinar covers the theoretical and practical component of the labour Ward Practice and is an essential course during first year of postgraduate training Masters in O&G and prior to assessment of training (AoT) for MRCOG Part 2 exam.
To further enhance your learning experience the webinar has MRCOG Part 2 practice papers (Two Papers) like main exam. This is a hands-on opportunity with participants experiencing the ambience of real exam.
Objectives
- Enhance application of knowledge and importance of promoting physiological processes of labour and birth.
- Have an update knowledge of essential practical obstetric skills in the labour ward management.
- Apply rational principles of auscultation to ensure effective monitoring of low and high-risk pregnancies.
- Update understanding of analgesia and anaesthesia in labour and birth.
- Enhance understanding on clinical governance and risk management in relation to obstetrics.
- Gain familiarity with the format of the Part 2 MRCOG written papers.
