The grief and bereavement workshop aims to provide a supportive community for individuals who are navigating the complexities of loss, offering validation, understanding, and practical tools to help them on their journey toward healing and resilience.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Practice patient centred communication within end-of-life care management with a focus on the unique challenges faced by healthcare professionals.
- Enhance non-verbal communication skills for delivering compassionate and empathetic care to patients and families experiencing loss, including active listening, empathy, and effective dialogue.
- Recognise factors affecting the communication and behaviours of healthcare providers and patients during grief and bereavement.
- Demonstrate building patient rapport through the experience of immersive technology in a safe and controlled environment for grief and bereavement.
