ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

International Medical University, School of Dentistry, will be organising its annual International Dental Students’ Conference (IDSC) to be held on 27 – 28 April 2024. The theme of this conference is “Digital Dentistry: Bridging the Gap Between Technology and Patient Care” which aims to provide a platform to enhance the research knowledge and clinical skills of dental practitioners, researchers, undergraduate and postgraduate dental students.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES

  • To provide information related to the recent development of digital dentistry in different specialties of dentistry.
  • To provide a platform for undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers, and dental practitioners to share their clinical and research work.
  • To provide an opportunity for dental practitioners, researchers, and undergraduate and postgraduate students to interact and collaborate with participants from other Universities.
  • To enhance the research knowledge and clinical skills of undergraduate and postgraduate students, dental practitioners, and researchers.

KEY ATTRACTIONS OF THE CONFERENCE

  • Keynote lectures on digital face design, digital smile design, and digital workflow on implantology, digital guided surgery in oral and maxillofacial surgery
  • Oral presentation of original research and systematic reviews

CANCELLATION POLICY

      1. Any cancellation of registration must be made in writing to the Secretariat of International Dental Students’ Conference (IDSC) 2024.
      2. There will be a full refund of registration fee for cancellation made by 27 February 2024.
      3. There will be a 50% refund of registration fee for cancellation made before 27 March 2024.
      4. There will be a 30% refund of registration fee for cancellation made before 13 April 2024.
      5. There will be no refund of registration fee for cancellations made after 13 April 2024.
      6. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or change the topic or trainer of the conference, if for whatever reasons beyond its control, the conference cannot be held as scheduled or the topics need to be altered.

How to submit your abstract?

Dental Quiz Competition

Eligibility Criteria

      1. Registration for IDSC 2024 is a pre-requisite for participating in the event.
      2. The last date for registration is 15 April 2024.
      3. All entries must be received within the stipulated time via post or online (no entry shall be accepted thereafter).
      4. Each team must include three (3) students from the same university/institution.
      5. There is no limit to the number of teams from each university/institution.

Rules For the Candidates

      1. Questions will be based on subjects and articles related to dentistry from all academic years.
      2. The quiz will be held on Sunday, 21 April 2024 (1 week prior to IDSC).
      3. The quiz will be conducted online with the help of online proctoring.
      4. The quiz will be conducted in 3 rounds.
      5. Tiebreakers will be used when required and the judge’s decision will be final.
      6. The rules and regulations for the quiz will be provided on registration.
      7. Each participant will receive an e-certificate of participation, while the winners of the quiz will be awarded e-certificates and prizes. Hence, the precision of participant information is necessary for the issue of certificates.
