FLOW CYTOMETRY Principles, Cell Analysis and Sorting

CPD POINTS
- A2 – 16 (By MMA)
This workshop focuses on basic principles and advanced applications of flow cytometry for research and clinical diagnosis. It gives an understanding on how to use multiple dyes simultaneously for the detection, characterisation and sorting of various immune cells. This is followed by practical demonstration and hands-on experimental setup, data acquisition, data analysis and troubleshooting.
Objectives
- Understand the basic principles and applications of flow cytometry for research and clinical diagnosis.
- Understand the critical factors in multicolor flow cytometry panel design for successful cell identification and sorting.
- Learn sample preparation and staining, assay setup, compensation and data analysis for apoptosis detection and regulatory T cells (Treg) sorting.
- Overview of single-cell capture and analysis workflow for high-throughput capture of multiomic information from single cells.
