Enhancing Sexual Intimacy among Couples: Practical Approach for Professionals

Sexual dysfunction is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore in the life of adults. Sexual dysfunction refers to a problem occurring during any phase of the sexual response cycle that prevents the individual or couple from experiencing satisfaction from the sexual intercourse. This workshop highlights the various sexual dysfunctions in both men and women such as erectile dysfunction, delayed ejaculation and premature ejaculation in men, while, orgasmic issues, sexual interest/arousal issues and pain experienced by women. In addition to addressing the theoretical knowledge of sexual dysfunctions, the main intention of this seminar is to feature the practical interventions of this subject matter. Henceforth, these interventions can be adopted to treat patients suffering from the aforementioned issues by the health and mental health professionals. Given the existing taboo or stigma revolving around this topic in the Malaysian/Asian culture, the health and mental health professionals will be educated on approaches to handle patients sensitively.
