Diagnostic Workshop Series 2019 Basics of Peripheral Blood Films

The interpretation of peripheral blood film is considered as an essential skill in medical laboratory technology. Identification of abnormal morphological changes in blood cells forms the basis for diagnosing a myriad of disorders pertaining to haematology and chronic diseases.
This workshop delivers the fundamentals of peripheral blood film interpretation and its underlying principles. Dr Afshan Sumera, an expert haematologist, will share her expertise via interactive lectures and case studies. The latest updates in diagnostic instrumentation and technology in haematological disorders will be a bonus feature of this workshop.
The event is part of an annual lecture series, during which we strive to cover relevant, up-to-date topics in biomedical sciences and provide quality professional training for participants.
OBJECTIVES
