WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND THIS COURSE?
Case-based learning (CBL) is a teaching-learning method that helps students link theory to practice through the application of knowledge in a clinical case scenario and encourages use of inquiry based learning. CBL is an essential active learning strategy that plays a pivotal role in promoting development of critical thinking and analytical skills towards clinical reasoning in health professions education.
The workshop aims to provide health professionals and health profession educators, including pre-clinical and clinical science lecturers, medical doctors, dental surgeons, pharmacists, nurses, and biomedical professionals, with the necessary skills to integrate various disciplines such as basic and biomedical sciences, with pathophysiology, diagnostics, clinical presenta- tions, complications, and management.
WORKSHOP OUTCOMES
- Develop CBL cases based on educational principles
- Evaluate CBL cases based on course outcomes, real-life context and integration of disciplines.

Cancellation Policy
- Any cancellation of registration must be made in writing to the DESIGNING CASE SCENARIO FOR CASE BASED LEARNING (CBL) WORKSHOP.
- There will be a full refund of registration fee for cancellation made by 23 February 2024.
- There will be a 50% refund of registration fee for cancellation made before 23 March 2024.
- There will be a 30% refund of registration fee for cancellation made before 9 April 2024.
- There will be no refund of registration fee for cancellations made after 9 April 2024.
- The organiser reserves the right to cancel or change the topic or trainer of the workshop, if for whatever reasons beyond its control, the workshop cannot be held as scheduled or the topics need to be altered.
