Bibliometric Analysis for Healthcare and Medical Sciences

CPD POINTS
- A2 – 8 (By MMA)
Online via Zoom
Bibliometric analysis is a popular method for exploring and analysing large volumes of scientific data. It can identify core research, top authors, journals, institutions, countries, etc., as well as their links, by examining all the publications associated with a particular subject or eld. It also allows researchers to dissect evolutionary details while also shedding light on emerging areas in a specific field. Its application in the pharmacology and pharmacy fields is still relatively new. This workshop aims to cover the definition and concept of bibliometric analysis, bibliometric data sources, how to extract and analyse using bibliometric data, citation analysis using Harzing Publish or Perish, and network analysis & visualisation using VOSviewer. This workshop hopes to create interest among researchers to use bibliometric analysis for writing a research paper.
OBJECTIVES
- Improve the quality of papers/journals by helping authors identify relevant literature, assess the impact of their work, and compare their work to other researchers in their field.
