This workshop will be facilitated by a group of Malaysian pioneers in paediatric palliative care. This one day workshop aims to enhance an awareness of paediatric palliative care (PPC) to doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, volunteers and medical students.

Objectives

AIMS TO ENHANCE AWARENESS AND ENABLE PARTICIPANTS TO:

• Identify and approach the child and family with ppc needs
• Assess and manage symptoms
• Communicate with the child about death and dying
• Support the ppc family in the community
• Support the end of life care of the child
• Deal with loss and bereavement
