Dental caries is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases worldwide and individuals are susceptible to this disease throughout their lifetime.

The International Caries Classification and Management System (ICCMS™) is a health outcome focused system that aims to maintain oral health and preserve tooth structure.

The School of Dentistry, International Medical University (IMU) is organising a full day workshop that encompasses lectures and hands-on training in risk-assessment, preventive care and current strategies in caries management.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

• Discuss the rationale behind the risk assessment in preventive care of caries management.
• Formulate the treatment plan based on risk assessment and the likelihood for developing dental caries.
• Demonstrate clinical skills in the use of diagnostic tools such as Diagnodent and Soprolife in early detection of dental caries.
