Dentistry being clinical branch of medicine, dental students, academicians as well as practitioners can be actively involved in dental research. However, thinking of research areas, drafting a research proposal, applying to research grants, and pulling out maximum possible publications out of it is still a challenging task for many. In academia, scholarly peer review is often used to determine an academic paper’s suitability for publication.

This workshop will be covering many such vital areas of dental research to be delivered through series of lectures and breakout-activities.

Objectives

• Display effective exploring and writing skills in developing winning research proposal.
• Discover different research avenues to link lab-based research with clinical practice.
• Display skills in developing effective and relevant research proposals to apply through different national and international funding agencies.
• Display effective reviewing skills to critically evaluate scientific manuscripts and together building up one’s own writing skills.
