Endodontics often presents with various challenges to the dentist in various phases of managing, starting from diagnosis to final obturation step. Therefore, this course is designed for dental practitioners who wish to gain self-confidence in managing patients requiring root canal therapy. This workshop includes two days of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises on extracted teeth using operating microscope, ultrasonics, rotary system, irrigation devices, thermoplasticised obturation techniques and understanding the concept of coronal seal.

The workshop also includes OSCE Stations, and case based learning focusing on diagnosis, treatment planning and problem solving in both non-surgical root canal treatment and retreatment.

Objectives

• Develop integrated knowledge of root canal morphological variations, concept of minimal invasive endodontics and their impact on endodontic treatment outcomes in multi-rooted teeth.
• Perform non-surgical root canal therapy using rotary system and post endodontic restoration of multi-rooted teeth.
• Decipher possible and probable outcomes of root canal therapy of multi-rooted teeth, as well as the need for future supportive care, prevention, and maintenance
